Today I got a gift from UK with the most wonderful card. Last year I sent a small gift to Alison, because she was visitor number 100.000 on Erleperle.
Now it's my turn - Alison has sent me this handmade gift. It's so sweet of you - thank you so much!! Sometimes I get a little embarrassed, when people are so kind. It's fantastic to be a blogger.
Last year I got a request for sewing a needle case. The design was up to me to decide, but this embroidery should be a part of the needle case (I have not made that!).
Thank you, Kate, for being so patient and for giving me all the time I needed for this project. That's how I work. I can't make anything if I really don't want to. Today was the perfect day for this project. I hope you like it.
A look inside the needle case. I love the blue fabric. This project made my day. I finally made it!
Nicole has sent me the most beautiful swap package. Lovely things all in red and white. Nicole was in the mood for mushrooms, which is lucky for me. I like mushrooms very much! I love it all, Nicole.
This glass chicken has travelled from Denmark to Germany and now back to Denmark again. The chicken is from Glas og Glimt.
It's my kind of chicken! Here is what I sent to Nicole. Thank you so much for these goodies!
My contribution to 12 Projects in 2008. Many Danish knitters have made this model called Mini, from Design Club.
I have knitted Mini in Pelsuld from the local yarn shop, Butik Strik.
I'm proud to say, that this cardigan is for a one year birthday - next winter! Now I have only one problem - will I remember this gift, when it's birthday time......
A Dutch mom sent me an e-mail, because she wanted to give her daughter one of my babushka dolls. E-mails like that make we very happy and I enjoyed sewing a doll for a cute girl in Netherland. Her mom, Kay, has sent me a great parcel to say thank you for the doll.
Here you can see some pictures from the Dutch magazine Ariadne at Home Kinderen - very inspiring!
Thank you so much, Kay - I will send you and Nila some goodies from Denmark soon.
Last week I ordered two bundles of linen fabric, assorted pieces. Today I got it!
One bundle neutrals and stripes and one colourful bundle. Two very inspiring and tempting bundles.
After publishing this post I will make a cup of tea and find myself a sunny spot in the living room. Then it's time to enjoy the linen goodies. I can't wait!
One set of four egg warmers. They are listed in my Etsy shop.
Yes! I finally did some sewing. Although it's just a tiny early Easter project, I feel great.
I think these egg warmers could be a fine hostess gift for Easter visits. That's all for now, friends, just had to tell you that I finally did some sewing. Back to the sewing machine, while by husband bakes a pear cake to the warm chocolate later today.
I'm still here! Only one day left of the winter holiday, no, one and a half day not to forget. My husband and I went for a mini trip a couple of days. My mother took care of the girls, our big dog and the house. They had a great time as usual. They always think that we get home to soon. It was so great to be alone with my beloved doing just what we wanted to do.
Home again I found this wonderful swap package waiting for me from Jasna. Fabric, ribbon, button and the cutest ornament made in dutch fabric. Thank you so much, Jasna.
Speaking of swapping - do you remember my swap with Emily? If you want to see, what I sent Emily take a look here.
I had hoped to be crafting a lot during this week. I did'nt craft at all and I'm not satisfied with that. I have done some knitting but not much. I think that the break was badly needed for me of many reasons, which some of you know. I think I will pack some babushkas, which are going to their new homes outside Denmark. Hopefully I will find the energy to be a little creative later today or tomorrow. I do need that! Have a great weekend.
I have listed some items in my Etsy shop today. You are very welcome to visit the shop.
My banner is designed by my good friend, Magda, Craftpudding.
