I've got several questions about making these leather bracelets. I will try to tell you with some pictures.
First of all my husband made this for me
The size is approx. 20 x 40 cm (8" x 16"), but it could be shorter. Notice the nail in the middle.
Now you need some buttons and a leather string 1mm or 2mm (approx. 3 meters). I have used both 1mm and 2mm for the bracelet, I will show you now. If you want, add som beads for decoration. Measure your wrist and add 15cm (6") and cut one piece twice this measurement. I made my piece with the 1mm string. Put a button on the middle of the string.
Now it's time to start making the bracelet!
Now you take another leather string - this one is 2mm. I have used 1mm string for the other bracelets I have made. The lenght of this string is approx. 170 - 200 cm - depending on the size of the wrist. This bracelet is for my husband and he want it to be more rough that mine. Find the middle of the leather string and make a not - like this. Don't use a nail to big to get the string off, when you are ready!!
Are you ready to start...?! Great.
Imagine yourself that you are going to make the number four several times alternately from right to left. Now you are going to move the string on the top.
Put the string to the right side under the other strings. Now you draw in both string. Then you are going to make the number four in the opposite site
Repeat it until the bracelet has the size you want.
Undo the string from the nails.
Make a not on the string and cut.
Now you can close your bracelet.
Now make a knot on the two other ends and cut.
Now you have you own leather bracelet.
Feel free to send me an e-mail, if you have any questions. I hope you will have fun making your own bracelet. Please use this tutorial for private use only. I love my bracelets!

Hi,
I just sat down to do your braclet. I did not see where it said about how long the second string should be. Is it the same lenght as the starting one? Please let me know, before I start to cut my leather. Thanks Sweetie,
Sondra
