Yesterday I made these lovely matryoshka dolls - design by Kristen Dogan. In Denmark the kit for the dolls is available for sale here. You can get the kit in different mix of colours. It's no seceret, that I love red.

My sister has made this aewesome hair ribbon (elastic velvet) for me. I have some in different colours, but this one is my favorite. I understand, why she sells lots of these hair ribbons!

 

A gift for me - from me. I have ordered the rain coat here and can't wait to get it. I guess, I don't have to mention the colour of my wellingtons....!? The rain coat has been on my wish list for such a long time.

Finally I wish you all a Happy New Year. Thank you for sharing 2008 with me - I'm looking forward to 2009. I hope for a better start for me in 2009, than the past months in 2008.

Gingham Heart

Just a small project - but still a project! That's what I have repeated several times now.

 

Red and white gingham and a small vintage embroidery.

 

The Christmas days are over, but we are still enjoying the Holiday. How about you....!? Now it's time for homebaked bread, coffee and some knitting.

Finally it's Christmas....

December 24th - Christmas eve. I don't know what happened with my December month! For many reasons I haven't been as creative as planned this Christmas. Perhaps next year!   With this lovely Christmas card from a friend, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Kitsch Christmas Idea

I saw this Christmas tree in a Danish magazine and fell in love at once! I love making Christmas decoration of tinsel pipe cleaners. It's easy - and fun for kids too! I always have pink, red, gold and silver pipe cleaners on stock. 

 

The bottom is made of a potato and some silver paper.

 

I couldn't fine the tiny bells. Instead I have decorated the tree with Svarowski beads, which I love very much. That's my kind of tree! I like funny Christmas trees. Last year my husband gave me this tree - it makes me smile. The other day I found this wonderful tree.

Tonight we are going to decorate our green Christmas tree.

Cosy, lacy Sunday

 

Last minute Christmas gift making - leather bracelets for my niece and some friends. Coffee, Christmas cookies and candles make it a cosy gift making time!

 

Today Santa brought me this lovely vintage box (....or perhaps my husband did). I like thinking about, what you keep in such a lovey box.

In a while we are off to find a Christmas tree and visit friends. Such a cosy, lacy Sunday. I hope, you enjoy your Sunday too!

Holiday

Yearh, I'm off from work until next year! Who can ask for more....?! Beside snow!

I have nothing interesting to tell you or any new creative projects to show. I'm very proud of myself - I did finish a Christmas gift, but I have sent it. No picture to proof it. You have to take my word for it. Instead I can show you, what the postman delivered here lately.

Today it's Sunday and I'm off from work the next two days. Then work for three days and then it's holiday time. Two weeks off from work. Yearh!

I guess, I will try to finish a handmade gift. My visit to Garn-iture yesterday has woken up my creative spirit.

Today I invited myself on a small trip to Copenhagen. I have to go to Copenhagen 2 - 3 times a month or at least once a month. Perhaps to meet a friend, drink a cup of coffee or just for a walk in town - love it! Today I wanted to visit a new friend of mine. She is the owner of this great shop named Garn-iture (garn means yarn in Danish). Take a look for yourself (the pictures are originally uploaded by Garn-iture)

Last week I went to an Indian Christmas Fair with my friend, Marie-Louise.

It was really worth visiting the fair! The fair was in a private and very beautiful old flat in Copenhagen.
