When I wrote this post, some of you asked me,if if the Amercan student was crafty. She is! While I was making the stuffing for the Thanksgiving turkey, Brittni had so much fun taking pictures.
She's a good student. I have learned her how to knit, we have been cooking, baking, making fabric covered buttons and much more. She will leave us soon, too soon. We still have a lot to catch up with! Just have a look at the pictures - the babushkas are handpainted by Brittni.
If you want to see more pictures, you can visit her blog, Beatific..
Not only the shop was inspiring - talking to the shop owner made my day. She told me about these beautiful Aboriginal cushion covers. Each cushion tells a story and the colours are beautiful. We talked about knitting, chrochet, yarn, scarves, blogging and much more. Do you know the feeling, when you meet a really inspiring person..?!
If you happen to pass by, you must visit the shop.
If you think it's too early to talk about Christmas, stop reading now. This weekend I can feel Christmas and I enjoy it. I have even bought some gifts too. I will try to do as much as possible in November. I hope so.....
I think it's more than 25 years ago, that I sewed a lot of Christmas hearts. This year I have developed the design a bit and made these two hearts.
