These scrap tote bags are made by my mother-in-law. I have told you about her before, when she made this gorgeous project. The pink scraps are from my stash - Olivia, age 15, loves pink! The other tote bag is mine. It's made of old scraps with their own story to tell. Thank you!
We all enjoy the quiet days. Next Monday we are back in our everyday life, but not yet. I can feel, that I need these quiet days to adjust our family life. The life we had 5 months ago with no American student in our house. Now it's time for be to get back to my creative life. It's coming, I can feel it!
A glimpse of some of my Christmas presents. My beloved husband did it again. This year he gave me a pair of Dr. Martens boots.
A new Moomin mug for my collection. Thank you so much, Anne.
Are you enjoying your After Christmas Time too....?!
Yes, paper cutting is not that difficult, I know, but maybe this post can inspire to make some last minute Christmas Ornaments. It's fun and it doesn't take much time to make you own personal inspired ornaments. All you need is your favourite motifs, cardboard, paper, glue, string, scissor and maybe some pearls.
Make your templates in cardboard. Find the motifs you like - you can even use cookie cutters!
Pick the paper you want to use, I have used wallpaper on the back). Glue the paper together back to back.
Take you template and draw the motif and then cut it.
Now your are ready to decorate your own personal Christmas tree.
Happy paper cutting - it's fun! You can invite your kids to join you (...if you want to....). If I can inspirere you to make some ornaments, I would like you to join my flickr group.
The Christmas tree in our garden is still covered with snow. Maybe we have to buy a new one. If that's the price for a white Christmas, it's fine with me! We are slowly getting back to our family life without an American student in the house. We miss her...
Now it's time for me to enter my creative space again. I did some paper cutting - Christmas ornaments. Just need to add a leather string and some pearls. One week ago when I went to town to do some Christmas shopping, I passed a workshop in the local shopping center. It was a paper cutting workshop, and the teacher, Melike Fürstenberg was so inspiring to talk to. I like these meetings with creative people.
Let me recommend you a crochet book. If you like hexagons, squares and circles, you will like this book. It's a Chrismas gift from me, to me. Can't wait to enjoy the book in the Christmas days.
Oh my, time is running so fast! I try to enjoy this special time of year every single day, but this year is a bit different. In only 6 days we have to say goodbye to our new member in the family, our American student. Honestly, is not that easy.... As you can see, we are enjoying Christmas time. Paper cutting while my husband served alkoholic hot chocolate last nigh.
Today we are going to decorate our Christmas tree. Usually we do it December 23rd but not this year!
Today Santa Claus (my beloved husband, named Claus) brought me these wonderful napkins designed by Rie Elise Larsen. Last advendt Sunday I got kitchen towels.
Enjoy your advent Sunday. I will - time to make Christmas buns.
