Swap of this Week

 

Swap goodies for me! I must be the most lucky swap partner in the whole world. Just take a look at these pictures. I keep on looking at these treasure pictures and everytime I use some swap stuff, I feel lucky. I keep most of my swap goodies in this basket and I often look inside and enjoy it all. If I look around me, I can see ornaments, a doll or perhaps a beautiful box from some of my swaps. These items have all their own story and I must admit, that I find it hard to giveaway something made by swap materials. I want to keep it!

Dutch Colours for me

 

I've got some Dutch goodies from a private swap with Blij als mij. Here you see some lovely ribbon with flowers and Dutch mills - love it! I can't wait to find the right project for this lovely ribbon.

Beautiful birds and a handmade tissueholder with polka dots. Who can ask for more....!? I've got so much more in my swap package. Magazines, a handmade book marker, handmade ornaments and more.

Here you see my Dutch coloured fabric. I'm a very lucky girl. Thank you for swapping with me, Erna. Now I can add some Dutch goodies to my  ever growing stash.

Swap Love

Last weekend I got a great swap package from my Dutch friend, Kay. Today I received a swap package from USA. I'm so lucky to have the most fantastic swap partners!

Amy has sent me the most beautiful fabric, ribbon and buttons. Beside that she has gifted me with one of her handmade bunnies. Amy is very talented and I like her style. She sells her hadmade goodies in her Etsy shop, Nana Company.

Red and white Swap

Nicole has sent me the most beautiful swap package. Lovely things all in red and white. Nicole was in the mood for mushrooms, which is lucky for me. I like mushrooms very much! I love it all, Nicole.

This glass chicken has travelled from Denmark to Germany and now back to Denmark again. The chicken is from Glas og Glimt.

It's my kind of chicken! Here is what I sent to Nicole. Thank you so much for these goodies!

Dutch Inspiration

A Dutch mom sent me an e-mail, because she wanted to give her daughter one of my babushka dolls. E-mails like that make we very happy and I enjoyed sewing a doll for a cute girl in Netherland. Her mom, Kay, has sent me a great parcel to say thank you for the doll.

A badly needed break

I'm still here! Only one day left of the winter holiday, no, one and a half day not to forget. My husband and I went for a mini trip a couple of days. My mother took care of the girls, our big dog and the house. They had a great time as usual. They always think that we get home to soon. It was so great to be alone with my beloved doing just what we wanted to do.

Home again I found this wonderful swap package waiting for me from Jasna. Fabric, ribbon, button and the cutest ornament made in dutch fabric. Thank you so much, Jasna.

I had hoped to be crafting a lot during this week. I did'nt craft at all and I'm not satisfied with that. I have done some knitting but not much. I think that the break was badly needed for me of many reasons, which some of you know. I think I will pack some babushkas, which are going to their new homes outside Denmark. Hopefully I will find the energy to be a little creative later today or tomorrow. I do need that! Have a great weekend.

Scandinavian Babushka Dolls by Ravenhill

Today I got these beautiful dolls made by Emily. I love their smiling faces and the beautiful fabric. I got this gorgeous fabric too. Thank you so much!

My Spring Pouch

Here is the pouch, I mentioned yesterday. I love it! The spring girl is made with small, beautiful stitches. Handmade gifts mean so much to me. I'm sure you know the feeling! Thank you! You can se the rest of the swap here.

I like spending time for making handmade gifts too. I don't do it, if I'm not sure if the receiver will appreciate it!

Early spring Swap

Today I have swapped with my dear friend, Marie-Louise. I made this linen mushroom dishtowel for her swap package.

She has made me the most amazing pouch. I hope to post a picture tomorrow. You have to see it!

Beside that I have just made some babuska dolls during this week. Some of them have already moved to new homes and others will do that soon.

Next week is winter holiday for the schools in Denmark. I do need these days of from work and find the energy.... I have some swap packages to send. Perhaps a new sewing project or two. Time will show!

Do Elephants eat Radishes...?!

The goodies from my Embroidery Swap was to tempting! I had to make three pincushions with some of the small pieces from the box.

The weekend has not been as good as hoped for. Yesterday I had to sew something, before I went crazy! Making these three pincushions made my day. I have said it many times, I know, but I just love to mix colours, romantic, beautiful and silly fabric. I have so much fun doing that! The pincushion in the front has hippos on the back and the second one has lime elephants.
