Yes, paper cutting is not that difficult, I know, but maybe this post can inspire to make some last minute Christmas Ornaments. It's fun and it doesn't take much time to make you own personal inspired ornaments. All you need is your favourite motifs, cardboard, paper, glue, string, scissor and maybe some pearls.
Make your templates in cardboard. Find the motifs you like - you can even use cookie cutters!
Pick the paper you want to use, I have used wallpaper on the back). Glue the paper together back to back.
Take you template and draw the motif and then cut it.
Now your are ready to decorate your own personal Christmas tree.
Happy paper cutting - it's fun! You can invite your kids to join you (...if you want to....). If I can inspirere you to make some ornaments, I would like you to join my flickr group.
Those ornaments are so cheerful. I will have to remember how simple they are - they can be used for any holiday; Valentines, Easter, 4th of July for those of us in the US, and any day you want to be special. Thank you Mette!
The book you recommended yesterday is pure bliss for crocheters! I was in a craft store yesterday, and saw it - oh my! It's on my wish list, a just because I want it wish list... LOL.
I also checked out Amazon.com for the price - it is only $12.50 or so, and you can "look inside". The craft store wanted $14.95. Of course the craft store would be instant gratification. If you know the crochet symbols, you really don't need to read English, and it is done very nicely.
So anyone out there who wants it - - - there you go.
Sorry Mette, I didn't mean to run on about this book, but it truly is wonderful.
Hugs
