London was wonderful. It's amazing. how much we have seen on just a few days. Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Trafalger Square, National Gallery, Piccadilly Circus are some of the attractions we saw.
Did I buy anything...!? Not much and those two books and the fabric are the only thing, that will interest you.
We went to Victoria and Albert Museum to see the exhibition Quilts 1700-2010. There’s everything here you could possibly wish for to look at. Liberty Jack made of thousands of bits of Liberty print, a quilt made of Chinese bank notes, bed hangings, bedcovers and much more, So many stories behind these quilts. Some of the stories were very moving. Especially a quilt made in Wandsworth prison by male inmates. It was inspiring to see, that men were able to express their feeling through needlework. The quilt symbolises a map of the prison and depicts life behind bars. You can read more about the exhibition here. Do visit the museum if you can.
It was fantastic. Thank you, dear Krista, for telling me about the exhibition (...and thank you to my beloved husband for joining me in the most patient and loving way).
