Handmade Birthday Happiness

I had the most wonderful birthday, you can imagine. Our home looks like a flower shop and I got so many presents - and I still get presents! It's overwhelming.

Postholders made by a very dear friend of mine. She knows, that I love vintage potholders. I wish, I had the potholders from my grandmothers home,

 

Woolie zipper purse made my another friend of mine, Lucky me...

My husband did it again - beside a ring he gave me a weekend here in May.

One legged Woman

Almost halfway

I admit it, I hate to knit socks! The problem is, that I have wanted a pair of long lace knitted socks for ages now.

I'm almost halfway and soon I will have my own pair of long woollie socks.

Last creative Project 2009

Done! The top is finished and it fits perfect, trust me! It looks much better, when I'm wearing it, than on the gine.

These scrap tote bags are made by my mother-in-law. I have told you about her before, when she made this gorgeous project. The pink scraps are from my stash - Olivia, age 15, loves pink! The other tote bag is mine. It's made of old scraps with their own story to tell. Thank you!
 

My new red Sweater

Yes, two posts in one day. That's only because I'm practising. Santa Claus is busy in our house this year. One week ago he brough me an early Christmas gift.

My new woollie red sweater made to fit my raincoat. I hope have to wear sweater and raincoat soon - I want to have some snow....
 

Stripy Scarf

The stripes made my day on a very dark November day. You knew that, Karen, thank you.

Now I have two favourite scarves. Lucky me!

70 grams of Sunrise

Done!

The Forest Canopy Shawl is finished and I'm very pleased. It's a small shawl, but that's exactly what I want. I'm gonna wear it as a scarf. I have used about 70 gram of soft wool, colour sunrise. Perhaps I need another scarf in this colour.

The soft wool yarn is available in 96 different colours. I'm so happy, that I have the yarn sample card.

I wonder, which project is going to be on the needles next time....?! Perhaps Elvira by Rasmilla Design.

Vintage Vest

Boring, but necessary....

 

I must say, that it was worth the effort.

 

Now I've got a cheerfull vintage vest, just like I wanted. The pattern and silk-cotton yarn is from a local yarn shop. No, the golden buttons are no mistake.

I also made these earrrings to match the vest

Yes, they are yellow and I have never liked yellow very much. This Spring I'm challenging myself with yellow. Ever since I saw this beautiful shawl, I discovered the colour with new eyes.

I even bought yellow wool

 

..and orange, green, purple, pink and..... Just take a look here. It's difficult to choose among all these lovely colours, don't you think so...!?

Yellow shoes....?! Never, ever. You know how much I love red. On the other hand you have to try, before saying no....
